Doctors and other health experts repetitively emphasize the importance of a balance diet and exercise in having a healthy life. Balance diet alone cannot do the wonders for our bodies because it is limited to the vitamins and minerals it brings in to our bodies which can be referred to as a chemical activity. Exercise on the other hand is as equally important as having a balance diet because it has physical impacts to our bodies.

Jogging for 30 to 45 minutes a day can do a lot for your heart and cardio aspect of the body in general. A way to healthier heart is guided by these cardio exercises and healthy eating lifestyle. Another classic example is having crunches everyday in keeping a tummy slim and fit. Besides avoiding fatty foods, crunches are very simple to do but their impact on burning the fats in the belly area and physically trimming it are things that fat-free foods can never do.

And for the elders, exercise is deemed more important for them especially doing brisk walking everyday. As human bodies grow older, the joints and muscles become weaker. And as they grow weaker, mobility is becoming a greater concern. That is why brisk walking is highly advised for older people because the joints and muscles are stretched and exercised.

Fighting Skin Cancer

“The best cure is prevention.”

This line is very true, especially for conditions as serious as Cancer. It would be best to nip the problem in the bud. When it comes to Skin Cancer, the first and most effective line of defense can be taken from the ’99 Baz Luhrmann hit (aptly) entitled “Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)”:

Wear sunscreen
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it.
The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists…

Use at least SPF20 sunscreen when you go out into the sun, re-apply liberally after every hour especially if you’re out swimming. When out on the beach, make sure you do not get sunburn.

Cover up with adequately with enough clothing and visors or hats. Try to stay in the shade and away from the sun from 11am-3pm. Never go outdoors without your sunglasses – your eyes are just as vulnerable to cancer as your skin. Make sure your glasses have sufficient UV protection.

New studies show that green vegetables may also be a great help in preventing Skin Cancer. They say that some compounds found in vegetables like cabbage and broccoli work against melanoma — the most serious form of Skin Cancer.
